Hi again,
Finally got around to updating the table bookings page, hopefully this is all up-to-date now!

Hi Guys,
Is this game still active? You are listed on Tuesday nights on the Table Bookings page. If you are not playing then let me know and I will be move this thread to The Vault and update the Table Bookings page. I will give you a couple of weeks to respond to this, then the thread will be moved. You can always ask me to move it back if you change your mind!
If you are sure this thread is old, then let me know as soon as possible and I will move it straight away.
Cheers,
Ian

Hi there,
I will be back to working in London from June 6, and would be very interested in GMing or participating in a Dark Crusade game. I also have a Rank 4 Blood Angel Assault Marine Deathwatch character, who I'd love to play with again, given that he is only around a 1000 or so xp away from making Chaplain.
I have GM'd both Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader extensively and am a avid reader of Chaos-orientated books from the Black Library, including ABD's awesome Night Lord series and Antony Reynolds' Word Bearer trilogy.

The group are now looking for a GM to run Black Crusade when it is released later this year, and either continue running DeathWatch or Dark Heresy until then.
We've been playing DeathWatch since it's release last year, but our GM has been given a placement that demands quite a bit of him.
We're currently a group of three players.
If you're interested, please reply here or PM me.

If anyone keeping an eye on this topic is interested, we are looking for a new player to join our Kill Team. We play on Tuesday nights, usually looking to start around 18:30-19:00 and finish 22:30/23:00 at the latest.
We've played through two campaigns, the first had four players and the last had five. Our GM has decided that four is the optimum for our particular group and as we've lost two players we are in need of another, to start as soon as tomorrow (11 Jan 10) if possible.
We'd ideally like a roleplayer with experience with either Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader or the Deathwatch systems, if not an experienced roleplayer with knowledge of Games Workshops Warhammer 40'000 universe.
Reply here if you're interested or PM me and I will provide more details.

I guess it's a good thing we have an Ultramarine to keep the peace then >.<
Spirer, feel absolutely free to make an Ultramarines Tactical based around leadership. Since Command and Charm were quite useful skills available to me straight away I took them. As for who should be leader, that will depend on the type of mission. Before a mission starts you take an Oath, and that Oath gives you bonuses for the duration of the mission, as well as limits on what Squad Actions you can take (P. 229, yes I'm somewhat of an Ultramarine, I'm by the book ). So in essence, some characters will be more beneficial as leaders than others, which is why leadership can rotate. Remember, I'm an Apothecary first and foremost, not a leader.
Although a Black Templar Assault Marine would be very interesting (and very useful) as well! Assault seems to be the element we are lacking in at the moment.

Likewise for techmarines, we're both set apart from our brothers for our skills and the changes we've taken upon ourselves, fellowship isn't exactly our prime concern! I'm not really leadership material either, techs are supporting roles.
I've got the Adeptus Mechanicus Lore, and I'm taking Security and Armourer to keep us in shape with gear, and Technical Knock to keep our guns un-jammed [for Adam's sake ;)]

A Black Templar assault marine would indeed be interesting when paired with my psyker. I'm probably going to take short range telepathy, so I hope he doesn't mind being spoken to telepathically!
Unfortunately, Fellowship upgrades for Librarians are a bit pricier, and I'm not sure they make great squad leaders. Of course, I should have several powers which help the whole squad (force field anyone?).
But I am aiming to take advantage of the various lore and knowledge skills, which hopefully we help us gain an advantage over our enemies.

It certainly is, and getting into the 'full' rules will be interesting, given the slightly lighter version we've been using. It will certainly make a difference to use characters we've designed ourselves, since we should (hopefully) have more of an idea how to play their particular nuances.
I think Dan's already kitted his apothecary out with a few command skill options, and since he's an Ultramarine as well he'll likely have very similar bonuses to your proposal already.
I know Gaudy recommended that we have as many different roles and chapters as possible to give us a wider array of abilities, so if you do go down the assault route, a Black Templar might be an interesting one, especially given that we have a librarian - it might nicely compliment the 'friendly enmity' between my Space Wolf and Adam's Dark Angel.
