Hi Forum, its been a while I know, sorry for the lack of posts, we've been busy taking down the regime of a thousand year old sorcerer king! Well, kind of, let me explain.

We have space available for one or possibly two more players for our regular 4e dnd game. No experience with Dnd or Dark Sun necessary. The only requirements are enthusiasm and a commitment to attend regularly for as long as we are enjoying ourselves/real life doesn't get in the way. As for us we are an easy going lot who like to relax and socialise as well as game.

At this time the PCs are all approaching level 7, so you would start at that point. As for characters depending on what the response is like I might start you off with brand new characters straight away or you would be using existing character/npcs until you were comfortable with the setting/rules/group and we'd then create something that would 'fit' into the campaign.

As for campaign style I like to think it is very much roleplaying/story focused with a healthy dose of cinematic/action (combat). The characters we have at the moment are a Half-Giant Fighter, Mul (dwarf/human) Barbarian, Half-Elf Assassin and an Elf Ranger (played as a companion to the mul) with a lean towards unscrupulous in their outlook

If anyone is curious as to why there hasn't been any dark sun updates for a while is because the journals, at least the storified ones have had to be put on hold due to them taking far too much time. Unfortunate, as I did enjoy writing them. If anyone is following the escapades of Eben and the crew of Dark Sun misfits you can find session summaries over at our wiki on Obsidian Portal. If folks prefer i'll post them on the dragons site, but I don't want to spoil the flow of going from full adventure text to bullet points

Haven't posted on the forum for a while so thought i'd start a new discussion:

I'm curious if any you guys have heard about 'fortune cards' a new reward type system they are bringing out in feb. Not sure when this will make it to the uk but its an interesting idea

What i'll say now is if they bring them out I might introduce them but it'd be as a DM reward (like the plot cards) but possibly a bit more regular depending on the cards themselves. I kinda like these things and so far it hasn't been detrimental to the game at all.

One thing i'd love is if they did it for treasure and monsters like they are doing for warhammer roleplay. Having monster stats on cards instead of books I think would be incredibly useful, especially for organising and running encounters and likewise treasure would be cool too, although I know Paizo do treasure cards for pathfinder but obviously its not quite cross compatible.
